- 03
Choose Shield (one data centre) or Vault (two data centres, replicated by Hexion).
Frequently asked questions
- Can I use Hexion with Veeam?
- Yes. Hexion Shield and Vault are S3-compatible object storage on NetApp StorageGRID, so you can add Hexion in Veeam as an S3-compatible object storage repository.
- Where is my backup data stored?
- In South African data centres. Hexion Shield keeps your data in one of NTT, Teraco or ADC. Hexion Vault keeps two copies, replicated by Hexion between any two of those data centres.
- Can my backups be made immutable?
- Yes. Hexion Shield and Vault support S3 Object Lock, so backup objects can be protected against deletion or modification for the retention period you set.
- How is it priced?
- In rand, per TB per month, with a minimum of 5 TB. There are no egress fees and no API request fees.
